Novum Pharmaceutical Research Services Opens New Clinical Research Facility
Pittsburgh, PA May 25, 2000: Novum Pharmaceutical Research Services, a leading company in the clinical conduct of bioequivalence and Phase I studies, conducted its first clinical research study in its new facility located in Houston, Texas this week.
"The opening of the Houston facility provides our clients with a significant opportunity to get their products to the market faster," explains Chris Hendy, Ph.D., President and CEO of Novum. "With its large volunteer base, diverse ethnic population, and excellent medical support services, Houston will allow us to both facilitate faster study startup and expand our medical services to our clients. By duplicating our Pittsburgh operations, we will continue to provide high quality data with some of the most competitive fees in the industry."
The 100-bed, 3-unit clinic will be managed by Roz Lavrich who brings five years of Phase I research managerial experience to the facility.
Novum Pharmaceutical Research Services has been providing Phase I research services to the pharmaceutical industry for over 20 years. In the past twelve months, fourteen projects conducted at Novum have resulted in marketing approval by the FDA for its clients.
